Voters in Mexico have elected Claudia Sheinbaum as the country’s next president, making her the first woman president in its 200-year history. She’s also the country’s first Jewish president. The climate scientist and former Mexico City mayor will succeed outgoing President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. Sheinbaum will start her six-year term on October 1st.
