The Lark in the Morning played on alboka

The alboka is kind of clarinet with a double bored pipe, two horns and two cane reeds , tipical from the Basque Country. The scale of this instrument includes only the following notes: A - B - C - D - E - F# (If you blow harder in F# position, you can get a G for a while). Therefore, to be able to play a more complicated melody like “The Lark in the morning“ you have to adjust the melody itself and avoid playing the note C because in this melody you must play the C#. What do you think? With only 6 notes you can get a “reasonable similarity“, right? Ze iruditzen? Alboka arrunt bat ta 6 nota besterik ez erabilita antza hartzen dio jatorrizkoari ezta?? ¿Qué os parece? ¿Da el pego? Con una alboka normal y tan sólo 6 notas se consigue un “parecido razonable“ ¿no?
