The approach is first a descent and then a river crossing. This is pure adventure. The entrance to the icefall Vika was also first a small descent, followed by a cross walk. Now I stood in front of the fall which is rated WI II 3 . I climbed in the lead until it went and I could still make a safe stand. It’s really cool ice climbing. You constantly have to make decisions so that a safe return is guaranteed. Flexibility and the urge to find solutions is what you need in ice climbing.
