No Parking (1931)

Full titles read: “No parking!“ (new title) “They have their “parking“ troubles in Uncle Sam’s land - especially when the first gyro-plane tries to land in Miami.“ Miami in Florida, United States of America. Various shots show a gyro-plane (aeroplane with a helicopter blade attached) flying past hotels and buildings in Miami and coming in to land in what looks like a municipal park or garden. A traffic policeman asks the pilot (Murray?) “What’s the idea of parking in here?“. He replies that he was hungry and thought he would land and get something to eat. The cop says it is private property and they can’t have windmills dropping in all over the town; a bit of funny chat follows as the policeman starts to write out a parking ticket for the plane.
