James Turrell “Skyspace“

This is one of the American sculptor James Turrell’s “skyspace“ installations, this one at the deYoung Museum in San Francisco. It’s a hemispherical room with a circular oculus in the center of the ceiling through which only the sky may be seen. Like all of Turrell’s work, it deals with the perception of light, space and time. The video was shot at about 5pm, as the fog was returning to Golden Gate Park.
