How To Paint A Loose Watercolour Misty Woodland Stream, Beginners Watercolor Landscape Painting

Here I’m painting a fairly simple misty stream , mostly using the wet in wet technique. The main thing here is to try to keep the light in the centre of the paper for that distant misty glow. Materials: Saunders Waterford cold pressed NOT paper, 11“ x 15“/28cm x 38 cm. Various brushes including hakes, flats, riggers and a small calligraphy brush, and a plastic store card to etch into the wet paint, but please use whatever brushes you have or prefer. My paints here are Cotman tubes of paynes grey, indigo, raw sienna and sepia, and Winsor & Newton perylene green, but use your favourite colours. Thanks so much for watching and happy painting!
