POV Tutorial: How to make classic early 90s Detroit Techno with Korg Volca FM, KeyStep, Roland TR-8
A short #POV #tutorial showing you how to create a classic early 90s Techno jam with minimal equipment in the style of Jeff Mills and the like. The result is by no means a finished track, but a solid foundation to be edited, arranged and mixed in any DAW. It’s just one melodic part and a drum track. I show you how to program a typical synthesizer line. The sound design for the Volta FM is done before and not shown, because it is a rather boring process of trial-and-error.
