Reel 1. A shot of earth approaching as a “newsreel reporter“ says “we interrupt our regular programmes to bring you a news flash“. He goes on to say that a man is about to be launched into space in an attempt to reach the moon. To the accompaniment of “space-age“ music and a space launch style countdown we see shots of a spaceship being prepared for launch. A man is launched from a circus cannon. Shot from the air of the ground below. A monkey wearing glasses and sitting in front of a microphone appears to be the narrator of the film. Shot of a monkey behind the window of a control booth and the logo “Channel 99“. Monkeys operate television equipment. Space rocket is launched. Man roller skating along a road with large wings attached to his arms. Voice over “ Yes, this is the story of Aviation“. The man - “Arnold V. Ation“ - attempts flight. Makes several attempts at flight in ridiculous machines. Silly sound effects accompany shots of bizarre flying machines. Hospital. Flying bedstead
