Daily Free Press: Pullman Antiques Go Under Hammer; Home Gives Way To Factory
On November 30, 1921, the Daily Free Press published an article about the Pullman auction. The contents were sold and the home was razed shortly after Harriet Sanger Pullman died. Harriet Sanger Pullman was married to George M. Pullman.
The home was located 1729 S. Prairie Avenue on the Northeast corner of 18th Street and Prairie Avenue in Chicago.
George Pullman died in 1897, but his widow continued living in the home until her death in 1921, splitting her time between Chicago and residences in New Jers
