Groundbreaking ceremony for the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel on the German side

A region grows together: The start of construction work for the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel on the German side was celebrated at a groundbreaking ceremony on 29 November 2021. Politicians, project developers and companions of the project came together at the tunnel construction site near Puttgarden to mark the occasion. Speakers at the ceremony were: - Enak Ferlemann, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, - Mikkel Hemmingsen, CEO of the Danish state-owned Sund & Bælt Holding A/S, to which Femern A/S also belongs, - Benny Engelbrecht, Danish Minister of Transport, and - Bernd Buchholz, Minister of Transport of Schleswig-Holstein.
