Uncut Version!!! A SICK ELVIS STOPS CONCERT EARLY- Las Vegas ’73 | GOLD CURTAIN DROPS ON KING

A very unusual show which Elvis performed against the advice of his Doctor on Feb 15, 1973 (8:30pm show). Elvis had recently had the flu and he had to leave the stage after having performed 7 songs. After he leaves, Charlie Hodge takes over as the emcee and JD Sumner and The Stamps perform solo. Elvis returns after 20 minutes to finish the concert by singing his closing number Can’t Help Falling In Love. Then, as the curtain is coming down, he changes his mind and continues with the concert and says: “IT’S THE FIRST TIME THAT’S EVER HAPPENED AND I HOPE TO GOD ITS THE LAST, BUT WE ARE GOING TO DO A SHOW, WE ARE GOING TO DO SOMETHING, AH! PLEASE RELEASE ME? SWEET CAROLINE? I’LL TRY ANYTHING MAN - HOT DAM“ (5 more songs are sung including Can’t Help Falling In Love for the 2nd time!). This show marks the very first time Elvis sang Faded Love live on stage and the last time he would sing I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry. THE SUBSEQUENT MIDNIGHT SHOW WAS CANCELLED.
