Augmented Reality Art Exhibition in South Korea 2020

It was a multifaceted period where new culture was introduced and the development of commerce and urban living allowed material consumption, once a symbol of the sadaebu noble classes, to be appreciated by the jungin upper middle class who drove urban culture and eventually the bulk of society. “Scenes from 19th Century Joseon“ draw upon the museum’s collection to examine various aspects of the country at the time. It is comprised of five sub-themes ㅡ the Expansion of Literati Hobbies and Material Culture, An Encounter with New Culture, New Things, Auspicious Symbols: Secular Yearnings, Landscape of Yoji: The Utopia Dreamed of in the 19th Century, and Scenes of 19th Century Joseon as Seen in the Royal Household Record.
