This is a rundown of every hit song present on the MuchMusic Countdown in 2000. Let’s bring some Canadiana to nostalgia playlists! These have been my pet projects for a while because I’m a bit obsessed with old-school MuchMusic/can-con in general. In 2000 we have the hangover of late 90s teen pop, the emergence of some of the R&B and hip hop acts that would dominate the 2000s, some of nu metal’s more butt-rocky moments, and Canada jumping on the boy band bandwagon.
