How a Black Hole Consumes a Star [4K 60fps Enhanced Animation] This incredible animation from DESY (Science Communication Lab) shows how a massive black hole eats a star and completely consumes it. As the star approaches the black hole, the enormous tidal forces stretch it more and more until it is finally shredded. Half of the stellar debris is flung back into space, while the remaining part forms a rotating accretion disk from which two strong outflows of matter shoot up and down. I found this awesome animation from DESY and decided to enhance it to 4K 60fps.
