Stars Off Stage Kenway And Young Issue Title Is I Likes That (1942)
Part of issue I LIKES THAT.
Location of events unknown.
Montage of comedians Nan Kenway and Douglas Young in past sketches recorded for Pathe.
M/S of Douglas in garden drawing cartoon of Mr. Grice, one of his comic characters. Producer Reginald Smith enters and asks Dougie to draw a caricature of him. Various shots of Reginald modelling for Dougie. Reginald pays him a halfpenny for the finished drawing.
Nan enters with her Scottie dog, Bartie and asks Dougie to draw her and her pet. Half way through drawing, a waiter brings Dougie a glass of beer. On seeing the final result, Nan slaps Dougie’s face. Two boy scouts enter collecting waste paper for war effort, Dougie gives them the picture of Nan.
Note: it appears that soundtrack was recorded separately making final version look like it has been badly dubbed. This is not a problem in the transference - it was originally recorded like this.
