As the cold season is approaching us this classic Norwegian black metal song is a great fit. I am really into Emperor these days and their “Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk“ album is probably my favorite.
This song was very challenging to record. First of all Trym Torson blast beats and double bass drumming is not easy. The original was recorded without a click and the tempo is constantly going up and down.
The typical chaotic black metal sound didn’t help either to hear clearly what is going on.
It is not perfectly played and has some hiccups here and there but is an honest performance for this iconic song.
I hope you enjoy it!
