The Japanese Shinkansen travels at 150-200 mph. It currently carries millions of passengers annually. However, the Shinkansen passes through many tunnels in dense residential areas. Kingfisher was well suited to the solution criteria they defined. With this information, the engineering team designed a new train series with a kingfisher’s beak motif.
